Such an incredible day today with the Product Design and Impact Unit at WHO for the Global Consultation on advancing guidelines and norms and standards design and their implementation at country level. There was representation from around the world and was an honour for myself, Olga Kokshagina from EDHEC Business School and Mathan Ratinam to be invited to provide the keynote addresses, broadcast across the organisation. We have been working with WHO for about a year, using design processes to improve the lived experience of using WHO Guidelines. From our co-design workshop in April (bringing together people from 8 countries) we developed 7 principles. These Principles guide creators of guidelines, to help them empathise better with the experience of people who need to implement and evaluate these to improve health outcomes, especially in developing countries. Today we tested these with people from across the world as part of our ongoing iterative work.
