Australia's independent skills training and higher education providers account for around two-thirds of all students in tertiary education across Australia. These provides do the heavy lifting in providing students with much of the skills and knowledge required to support businesses, and through this a growing economy.

The Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) publishes the nation's most comprehensive consolidated statistical assessment of the nation's tertiary education section, the 2022 ITECA State Of The Sector Report which will be launched on 13 October 2022.
