The Industrial Transformation Training Centre (ITTC) for Optimal Ageing will train a workforce that is skilled in the development, translation and implementation of digital and robotic systems to optimise cognitive, physical and mental wellbeing in middle-aged and older adults.
About
Who are we
Through industry-based projects, our graduate researchers (PhD Students) will provide their technical expertise, creative problem-solving and scientific insights to help your organisation develop tools and strategies to support optimal ageing.
The research program will support the application of new and big data to identify behaviours that can support optimal ageing and facilitate effective solutions that will enable ageing in place.
Shifting the focus from a reactive to a proactive model.
ResearchThemes
Optimal Ageing comprises an integrated research program encompassing three themes.

Theme 2
Promoting independence
Develop solutions that increase confidence and ability to maintain independence in the community.
Theme 3
Sustaining connectedness
Working with the latest technologies to create a sense of community and reduce social isolation.
